Rainbows provided the support that was a Godsend during a very difficult time of my life. It made me feel better to know that other adults were feeling the strong emotions that I was feeling over the break-up of my realtionship. My son felt normal in being surrounded by children who knew how to deal with spending the weekends with different parents, having two rooms at two different houses and being upset when his father didn't show up for events because of his anger towards me. There were many hurtful moments that I wished I could have taken for my son, but having him talk to an objective third party and being surrounded by kids that had experienced that same hurt made it alright somehow. The friends we made in my Rainbow group in 1993 are still close with us today. They attended my wedding to my wonderful husband in 1999 and I just got the graduation announcement for my youngest boy who is well on his way to a life full of opportunities! I suggest Rainbows to everyone I can think of and have become quite the Rainbow cheerleader, but the group is so incredible you have to see it for yourself to believe it. ~ Gloria Alford ~
